| Tasting Notes |
| Robert Karlsson | Hardbread. Some smoke. Hm. What else? Some dry fruits too. A nice round taste that turns spicy and in the aftertaste smoky. Not at all bad. Very interesting and tasty development. |
| Craig Daniels | Colour, light medium gold. Nose has lots of green characters, green wood, and green wood smoke, pistachio nuts and smoked vine canes, (like a mix of young Laphroaig and young Caol Ila all from bourbon wood). Palate has pistachio and green wood with more ashes and fireplaces. Finish is long and slightly fiery with a reprise of the green wood smoke. A little bit more characterful and interesting than the earlier version |
| Krishna Nukala | Peat and smoke, typical Islay or a Connemara? Very sweet and spicy like green paprika (MMA 2010 blind tasting) |
| Oliver Klimek | Color: Straw -
Nose: Very intense, peat, citrus, some vanilla -
Palate: Very peaty, smoked ham, lemon, vanilla, quite spicy but also sweet -
Finish: Very long, sweet and spicy smoke -
Overall: About as spicy as the Springbank CV, but here the peat acts as a strong counterpart. Sweetness and fruitiness are enhanced by a few drops of water. Nice! |
