Tasting Notes
Robert KarlssonQuite a bit winey, sherry- and woodinspired to say the least. Loads of slightly sourly raisin and demerara sugar. The taste is in full balance with the nose. Full of it. Rather pure and I really like the absence of any sulphur in there. In the aftertaste it turns peppery and on dark chocolate. Not at all bad this one. Very drinkable strength too.
Rich Howardspicy red fruit punch (the kind made with fresh ginger ale), grapefruit, stewed fruits, butterscotch. after a few drops of water, there's brown sugar, handfuls of red berries, toasted brioche bread, and syrupy plum reduction. not subtle in the slightest, and complex in a slightly odd and unexpected way. very interesting, but more importantly, very good! [tasted blind for the 2010 Awards]
