Tasting Notes
Robert KarlssonMandarins, cinnamon and darker spices. Lively, dark yet fresh. Taste in balance with nose. Nice, drinkable but a bit thin.
Craig DanielsNose: lots of sherry and raspberries, toffee and raisins. Palate; slightly thin and spiky, more berries and cherries not as integrated as the nose. Finish: long and fruity with some tannic bitterness. Reminds me of 'finished' whiskies where the finishing isn't all that integrated especially in the palate. Tasted blind 27 March 2013
Rich Howardfresh red grapefruit, citrus punch, an intriguing undercurrent of maple syrup, a few raisins, and some fresh marshmallow in the background. the palate is less sweet than the nose, with oranges, pears, moving fairly quickly to an oaky wood influence. after a drop of water, the nose is far more tangy and herbal, with apple skins and seville oranges, strong now on sage and fresh cedar. the palate has mellowed a bit, and actually went a bit watery, mostly with a non-sweet citrus and cream. summary: a complex and promising nose of citrus and syrup, but the palate doesn't deliver as nicely... definitely no water.
