Tasting Notes
Robert KarlssonNice fruit compote, yet a bit on the sourly side. Quite some malt in there. A liiitle bit perfumed? Slightly perfumed fruitiness in the taste yes. Berries too. Slightly sourly.
Rich Howardmandarin oranges and orange creme, grapefruit, hay, light hints of brown sugar, maple syrup, a dash of cinnamon, and of course vanilla. the palate is surprisingly light and airy, very creamy and sweet, mostly on orange vanilla creme, slightly herbal on the finish. a drop of water brings out more maple syrup on the nose, still plenty of mandarin orange slices, not shy on the vanilla. on the reduced palate, the herbs have merged with the orange creme now, making for more of a tea or cough drop effect. summary: a lovely orange creme dram with maple undertones. much nicer without water.
