Tasting Notes
Rich Howardwow, this nose is just spectacular. clean, deep and refined, with gentle smoke, wet leaves, freshly stained wood cabinets, cinnamon, quite some cloves, nougat, milk chocolate mocha and warm pecans. the palate follows suit with chocolate-covered strawberries, hints of maraschino cherry and cart-loads of amazing spices. water softens the nose, and i'm getting the chocolate-covered strawberries here as well now, plus perfectly ripe apples warmed and coated in cinnamon, ginger candy, a handful of dry leaves tossed in, and a bonfire in the distance. the palate is smooth as silk, still balancing the sweet fruit notes with fresh mocha and loads of spices and now some roasted walnuts, moss and smoldering oak. what a profile; just unbelievable poise and balance. i could easily nose this all day...
