Tasting Notes
Robert KarlssonReally dustily dry. Seems restrained. Some faint traces of vanilla in there too. And peat. More on malt. Peat too, especially in the aftertaste. Intense and rather short. Grows on you. Tasty and fresh. A sneaky peatbomb.
Oliver KlimekColor: Straw - Nose: Bonfire at the sea shore, a hint of lemon, adding some water increases the breeze. - Palate: Quite strong peat, sugar, salt, and pepper, lemon again and a mix of oriental spices. - Finish: Very long and smoky. - Overall: Given its colour and character, this malt was most probably matured in a Fino or Manzanilla sherry cask. The terrific nose is backed by a sophisticated complexity of the palate that reminds me a little of Port Ellen.
