Tasting Notes | |
Rich Howard | the broad strokes: dark caramel, light banana, grasses and heather, toasted oak and spices. very nice... |
Oliver Klimek | Colour: Dark amber - Nose: Raisins, prunes and fudge join the trademark Highland Park honey, a faint whiff of smoke and hints of vanilla and cinnamon. - Palate: Mixed dried fruit, rum soaked honey sponge cake, toasted bread, cinnamon and hints of cardamom. - Finish: Very long, fruitily sweet and mildly spicy as well as minimally smoky. - Overall: The 18 year old is already a masterpiece, but this is yet a little better. Lots and lots of aromas to contemplate about, but the price difference is significant. |
