| Tasting Notes |
| Robert Karlsson | Quite a bit cereal. Hm, not much more? Tastewise a little along the same lines. A nice maltiness but not much more in there.. hm. |
| Rich Howard | a fairly unusual nose, quite strong, and an odd combination of tangerines, polished oak furniture and sawdust, lemon juice and lemon zest. the palate follows suit, quite woody with an undercurrent of fruit and sweet powdered sugar malt. water warms the nose with orange citrus and toasted spices, and the palate has a spicy kick now as well. a tad better with a drop or two, if you can handle all the spice and wood. | Oliver Klimek | Color: Gold -
Nose: "Farmy" at the beginning, becoming more maritime and slightly fruity (orange) over time -
Palate: Slightly peaty, a strange mix of caramel and chili, oranges -
Finish: Rather long, spicy smoke -
Overall: The nose takes a while to open up and actually becomes very pleasant, but the palate cannot quite live up to that. The spicyness is too dominant for my taste as it is not sufficiently counterbalanced by the other flavour components. |
