| Craig Daniels | Colour; dull brown/amber Nose; lots of sherry early, but gets overtaken by big toffee, stewed fruit, musk, candy and uncooked sweet dough. Palate: sour plums, thin toffee, hint of leather. Finish; metallic and leathery. Comment: I had no idea this was an Isle of Jura as I tasted it 'blind' - I wonder whether the peat has been dumbed down and the sherry cranked up since the first release? |
