Tasting Notes
Robert KarlssonQuite the compote of dried fruits. Unfortunately for me also some sulphury notes in there. Tastewise more on the prunes than the more extreme notes. The sulphur do arrive late however. But not bad.
Rich Howardan immediate hit of sulfur, followed by red grapes, plums, blackcurrant, hints of prunes, tobacco (of course). the palate follows suit, plenty of the gunpowder coating red and purple fruits, leather, coffee and tons of tobacco, tons of drying tannins on the finish. time and water quiet the sulfur a bit, but not as much with the tobacco, which lingers with dark fruits, coffee and berries. the palate is sweeter and fruitier now on the approach, but still some gunpowder on the finish, and a handful of dry twigs. summary: stewed fruits dusted with gunpowder. fortunately, i don't mind sulfur as much as some...
