Tasting Notes
Robert KarlssonLoads of dried sherried fruits. Raisin, figs. Spent matches. Wood. Dark, big. Slightly sourly. Needs some time to settle down. Chocolate. Tastewise big on spices, wood, dry! Also sulphury notes again. Strong. Needs water to calm down. Turns well-composed then.
Rich Howardred berries and red fruit punch, sweetened cranberries and orange marmalade, a small handful of dried twigs, hints in fresh cigar tobacco in the background, and of course a dash of vanilla. the palate is brisk and strikingly sweet, with that fruit punch and marmalade, some tobacco and drying oak throughout, and especially on the finish. a drop of water does change the profile much, although it seems to accent everything, if that makes sense, and more warm vanilla throughout now. the palate is slightly less sweet now, better balanced between the fruit, vanilla, oak and tobacco. summary: red berry preserves and warm vanilla with an oak and tobacco finish. a drop of water (at least) is essential.
