Tasting Notes | |
Robert Karlsson | Clearly smoky, and with a sherried style? Yep, on raisin and soot. Also quite a bit of sweet fruits and vanilla with time. Special sugared/canned fruits with a somewhat sourly smokiness. Quite special character I must say. Mouth-coating and not bad one bit. |
Rich Howard | drifts of wood smoke, with subtle sweet notes of charred marshmallow, chocolate-covered raspberries, fairly restrained medicinal notes and fresh bandage, hints of tar. the palate hits with those sweet elements of charred marshmallow and chocolate, graham cracker (mmmm... smores), some cherry preserves in the background, with plenty of oak and wood smoke on the finish. with a drop of water... the nose pretty much fell apart, mostly wood and light wood smoke now, and the palate is a bit weak with marshmallow and plenty of wood. summary: a pleasant smoky dram with a variety of sweet elements. do not add water.
