Tasting Notes | |
Robert Karlsson | A bit on the sour side. Hm, mashy, slightly fermented apple juice? A bit odd nose here. Apricots? Quite stingy taste, high abv? Oily and the somewhat odd style returns here. Not bad, but not really natural either. |
Rich Howard | sweet smoked caramel, and plenty of wood smoke as well, vegetal with forest floor and wet leaves in fall, wet rocks, whiffs of sea salt, hints of varnish and varnished wood. the palate is rich, sweet, smokey, spicy, with everything from the nose and more. a drop of water brings out sweet vanilla creme on the nose, lightly toasted marshmallow, graham cracker, still hints of smoky salted caramel and those vegetal notes of wet leaves. the palate is still glorious: sweet, smoky, sooty, salty and spicy, with even more smoke and varnished oak on the finish. summary: yes.
