| Tasting Notes | |
| Robert Karlsson | Mature sweet fruits (apricots, mandarins) and fresher vanilla also. Spicy. Round. Big. Attractive sweet fruits and a delicate vanilla below that. Well-balanced and not at all aggressive in any way. Strangely enough drier with time, and tiny hints of dry smoke appears? Hm. Difficult one. |
| Rich Howard | the nose is mostly on grains (wheat bread, oatcakes) and polished wood, a handful of field grasses, hints of apples and apple skins. after a few minutes, some warmer notes of pistachio nuts emerge. the palate is full of sweet malt, plenty of herbs and quite wooded. a drop of water opens up more apples and pears on the nose, and a splash of vanilla. the palate is actually a touch less sweet now, still herbal, and still wooded. summary: no surprises here, an herbal, nutty, wooded whisky with light fruit.
