Tasting Notes
Johannes van den Heuvel	A little grainy with some citrussy and oily notes. The faintest hint of something peaty? Grows sharper after some breathing. It grows a little more complex with water - but not much. Oy... At cask strength, it's quite sharp on the palate - but flat at the same time. A thin finish - this cask must have been very tired...
Robert Karlsson	Somewhat buttery vanilla and hints of raisin. Hm, very vague smoke? Candied fruits? Some lightly raspy maltiness too. Complex but a bit low in intensity perhaps. Very big taste. Surprisingly so! Mandarins? Citrus? More. Candied oranges. Intense excellent vanilla. So lively, white pepper also. With water more compact and a bit darker toffee. Clearly recommended.
Rich Howard	initially a fairly dusky and somewhat musty dram. after some time, some pears and vanilla tentatively emerge, but the nose never fully shakes that musty antique armoire with vintage neckties. the palate is unexpectedly sweet with caramel candies, and now i'm finding that on the nose as well. a drop of water releases a wash of musty wood, but that hint of caramel sweetness remains. the palate is on kind of a spicy rum raisin cake now...? summary: a strange, somewhat musty dram... oddly unsettling.
