Robert Karlsson | Malty, muesli, a bit sourly and cooked vegetables. Not too fun. Taste in balance with the nose, some raisin, a bit edgy sourliness at the end. Hm. This one I have tasted before and I enjoyed it much more back then (89p), this time it barely made 80 so I balance the score to 86. Perhaps there are some batch differences or similar but the difference was considerable. Strange.. |

Nose: Prunes, cherries, dark chocolate, polished wood, hints of flintstone and smoke. -
Palate: Christmas cake with a cup of strong Earl Grey tea, chocolate mousse with rum-soaked prunes, hints of peppered oxtail soup. -
Finish: Long, sweet and fruity. -
Overall: Rich, richer, Benrinnes. |
