Tasting Notes | |
Robert Karlsson | Massive buttery vanilla strikes first. Then laid-back smoke? And alcohol. And then some more on the vanilla side. Balance with nose. Vanilla, some smoke, alcohol, but hey blackcurrants in the aftertaste. Distinctly so. That was not evident from the nose. Exciting and multi-facetted. Blackcurrants, smoke and vanilla. All three of great intensity. Nice. |
Oliver Klimek | Color: Gold - Nose: Many different fruits, a bit of smoke, seashore. - Palate: Peat, tropical fruit, a hint of liquorish, slightly salty - Finish: Very long, smoky and fruity. - Overall: It's a very nice whisky, but it does not really remind me of a tempest. Although it is quite peaty for a Bowmore I think its character is more breezy than stormy, even without water. The fruitiest of all peat monsters. |
