Tasting Notes | |
Rich Howard | immediately warmer, and also a tad sharper, than the 2002, with melted butter, olive oil, old cedar box, then wet leaves in fall, fresh acrylic paints, tempura batter, light gauze and cotton balls, slightly soured cream, and finally some slightly overripe red apple. the palate has plenty of olive oil, walnuts, sea salt and warm orchard fruit reduction. water accents the olive oil, with warm butter, apple slices, lemon rind, light detergent and drifts of smoke, almost a sandalwood incense...? very intriguing, and very good. |
