Tasting Notes
Ho-cheng YaoBrown color, quite clear smokiness as the first impression, standard maltiness sweet, but not so much heather as normal expression. good fruitiness with citrus and plum. Clear nutty sweet as well. More like refill sherry cask, second refill? quite strong body, medium finish. Good to have some water added. Actually taste better with some water. Should be very good with ice.
Craig DanielsNose: Ointment and unguent, honey, fireplace, green grass, faint ashes and coal tar Palate: vine cane resin, honey, peat, sterile bandages, some pear syrup. Finish; medicinal with carbolic and typical fireplace and ashtrays. Comment: Nose is worth 90, rest not so impressive. Reminds me most of lightly peated Islays (like older Bowmores from the 1990s)
